Allison Russell's new album Outside Child, which was recorded in Sound Emporium's A room, has been recognized by NPR as their Record of the Week. The album is "an autobiographical story, but it’s also far more supple and expansive than that suggests," writes NPR's Marc Baptiste. In her interview with NPR, Russell emphasized, “This is not a record about trauma; it’s a record about art and community and chosen family.”
